The problem

No website. A decade of award-winning events, and a brief that demanded irreverent and premium at once.

My role

Part of the team at duall®studio as Junior UX Designer, Mobile Design, 3D specialist. Early in my career.

The brief

To build something that felt both irreverent and classy: a digital platform that could sit alongside the world's best cultural and gastronomic institutions without feeling corporate or generic.

Tech stack

WebGL · Three.js · GSAP · Barba.js · WordPress · Figma

Key decisions

Designing the mobile experience as a first-class version, not a scaled-down one

Using 3D to create atmosphere, not to showcase technology

Food is sensory. A static website about gastronomy fights itself. The WebGL loading experience and Three.js transitions were designed to create anticipation and richness that photography alone can't — and for a Portuguese gastronomy brand, that unexpectedness was exactly the irreverence the brief asked for.

QA as a design responsibility

On a project this technically complex, a broken transition or misresolved animation destroys the premium feeling everything else was built on. I treated every interaction and load state as a design moment to be verified — not functional code to be ticked off.

What I' learned

Attention to detail leads to better outcomes

This was a team project early in my career. The awards were a shared achievement, what I took from it was a standard for craft and attention to detail I've held in every project since.
